Cuisine
Here in North Dakota "dinner" is at noon - "supper" is the evening meal.
We are miles from the closest restaurant," says JoAnne Wold, co-owner of Volden Farm, which offers two rooms and one cottage in Luverne, North Dakota. That's one reason "a simple supper" available. Another reason is that JoAnne likes to cook. "Mediterranean cuisine is a favorite; I grow a lot of herbs," she says. "There may or may not be hors d'ouevres before I serve a main dish, salad, breads with tea and coffee from fresh-ground beans." Guests enjoy this bounty along with a miles-long Sheyenne River Valley view.
